Carpentry

Carpintería is the trade this company is built on, and it runs the whole length of a house — from the rough framing nobody sees to the trim everybody touches. Same hands, both ends.

What's included

  • Rough carpentry — framing, blocking, backing, decks
  • Finish carpentry — trim, casing, base, crown
  • Stairs, handrails and newel posts
  • Doors hung and adjusted, interior and exterior
  • Built-ins, shelving, mantels and window seats

How it goes

  1. 1. Measure

Every opening and every run measured on site, because no wall in a real house is the length the plan says.

  2. 2. Material

Species, grade and profile picked with you, and let to acclimate indoors before it is cut.

  3. 3. Cut & fit

Coped inside corners, mitred outside corners, joints tight before a single nail is set.

  4. 4. Fill & sand

Nail holes filled, joints sanded flush, and the room left ready for paint instead of ready for an argument.

FAQ

Do you do both rough and finish carpentry?+

Both. They are the same trade at two ends of the same house, and having one contractor across both means the finish carpenter is not fighting the framer's mistakes.

Can you match trim in an older house?+

Usually. An existing profile can be matched from a sample piece, or milled to match if it is no longer a stock profile.
