About
Who you're hiring.
Meraz Home Builders Inc is a residential general contractor working in Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Framing, carpentry, siding, decks, interior finish and reconstruction — and new houses from the ground up.
The licence
Class B is the one that covers the whole house.
California sorts contractors by what they are allowed to take on. A Class B — General Building Contractor — is the classification the state issues for a project involving two or more unrelated trades. A house is the textbook example.
What that means on your job: one contractor can legally carry the build and run the trades under it. You are not the one lining up a framer, a siding crew and a finish carpenter and hoping their calendars agree.
The licence is CSLB #1124981 · Class B. It is a public record — look it up on the California Contractors State License Board register before you hire anybody, including us.
